never ending quest or do we crave 5 minute intoxications?
we get infatuated by silly little nothings in people we barely know. often confusing it with love. and sometimes vice versa. maybe even on a regular basis. have we seen way too many romantic movies or dramas and are already polluted with this sense of instant culture we live in which prescribes the only medicine we can bear - running away.
they often say how bad internet really is. our attention span’s getting shorter and shorter. i don’t agree with that. i’d say we have much better control of what we take in. but, one thing that really scares the shit out of me is the fact that internet is mostly a horrific place for finding someone. that someone for romantic sharing experience. should we create a new kind of peer2peer network where we could upload/download experiences, emotions - bottom line, exchanging love. anonymous to anonymous, no strings attached. that way we a priori know what to expect and can at any time control the amount and purity of what we’re receiving. and the up side is… we can always terminate the connection by clicking that lovely “stop” button. take a deep breath. exhale. and then reconnect with someone else.
maybe that way people won’t be afraid of getting hurt or expressing their emotions for others… which brings me to another point. TBC
